Thanks to all my backers, Trio will be able to have its run on the festival circuit. I can't thank my backers enough for contributing the amounts you did, it all came together to help pay for what is a relatively small total cost in the filmmaking world, but for a college student with tuition and housing costs, on top of the expenses of being a filmmaker, this project really needed your help and couldn't have happened without you.
There are still a few hours left to back the project, for anyone new who would like to show their support!
I consider "Trio" a huge first step for me as a filmmaker; something that I hope will gain people's interest in me and my work, and lead to more exciting projects. For the first film I'll be taking to festivals, it's a huge honor to me to have received as much support as I have.
I will continue to update the project page with festival news for "Trio," which should occur throughout the next year, after which I will re-upload the film on the Starcat YouTube channel with all backer names in the credits. I have sent "Trio" to some festivals that had early deadlines, further festivals I submit to, including SPIFF, will have all backer names in the credits.
The YouTube video on the page will be removed when the project funding ends. You'll be able to catch the film at any festivals it screens at, and when the festival run ends, it will return to YouTube. Additionally, anyone who pledged for the digital download will receive their copy of the film in the next few days.
You can also get updates on "Trio" and further films I release on social media:
